Three To Watch: Peterborough United

11 August 2017

Ahead of this weekend's game with Peterborough United, we take a look at the potential threats in the ranks of our opponents.

Leonardo Da Silva Lopes - Midfielder

Leonardo Da Silva Lopes is a talented teenager who joined Peterborough United as a 15-year-old after being spotted playing for a local side called Powerleague.

The energetic central midfielder has athleticism, pace and power and goals against Rovers to his name as he hit the back of the net twice against Darrell Clarke's men at the back end of last season.

Marcus Maddison - Midfielder

Another player who was on the scoresheet at London Road back in April, Maddison has made over 100 league appearances for Posh and has scored 25 goals during that period of time, but he is a creator of goals too - making a host of goals for others in his spell at the football club.

He can play as a left-winger or as a number 10 and at times has been deployed as a central striker, but wherever he is on the pitch, he is a threat.

Junior Morais - Striker

Junior Morias joined Peterborough United from non-league side St. Albans in January 2017. Morias certainly made an instant impact at Posh his first strikes in the Football League, secured a 3-0 away victory at Port Vale.

A scorer of all types of goals, Morias has an explosive shot and was on the scoresheet on the opening day of the season against Plymouth Argyle in a 2-1 win for Posh.
