MATCH PREVIEW: BRISTOL ROVERS vs ROCHDALE

10 September 2016

We take a quick look at today's opponents!

Bristol Rovers go into today's game playing their first Saturday game at the Memorial Stadium this season.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be looking to secure their second win of the season against the leagues bottom side Rochdale.

Team News: Rovers have a full squad to pick from with the exception of Jake Clarke-Salter who played 90 minutes last night as he recovers from his slight knee injury.

Darrell's View:”It's a bit of weird feeling having a game at home on a Saturday this late into the season but we know our supporters are fantastic and will get right behind the boys.

"Rochdale's position in the league is a bit false, the same as ours. It's going to be a tough game this afternoon."

Opposition: Today's opposition Rochdale sit at the bottom of SkyBet League One with just two points from their six games so far this season. Last time out Rochdale tasted defeat after Liam Sercombe netted an 88th minute winner.

Dangerman - Ian Henderson: The experienced striker initially joined Dale in February 2013 having been released by Colchester. Henderson has been in decent goal scoring form for a side at the bottom of the table having hit the back of the net three times already this season, however, only one of those goals has been in the league.

Last Time Out: Last time the sides met Rovers took the lead when Kaid Mohamed's shot hit the inside of the post and crept over the line.
The visitors equalised with the first attack of the second half when sub Joe Bunney capitalised on poor defending to steer a shot past Steve Mildenhall. Matthew Lund met Michael Rose's cross at the back post to give Keith Hill's side all three points.
