We catchup with young midfielder, Ryan Broom, to find out how his loan spell at Bath City is assisting his development.

Ryan joined the National League South outfit at the start of October, with the goal of gaining more first-team football in a competitive environment. The youngster made an immediate impact on his debut, scoring a well-timed diving header in Bath's 1-1 draw against Eastbourne Borough and has progressed to make a number of appearances over the past month.

"From the word go, I have just been enjoying it," said the midfielder.

"Little things like training in a different environment and playing games has been helpful for me and to meet a new bunch of players has been good for me."

"I have been enjoying playing football on a Saturday and it was nice to settle in quickly and it grabbing the goal was a good first impression to make.

"It was good to contribute in my first appearance and I think I have been contributing in the games I have played since."

The midfielder's loan deal at Twerton Park was extended last week, which was welcomed by the youngster, who is eager to make the most of the opportunity of more game time.

"I spoke to the Manager and we both agreed that it was best for me to carry on playing games while I have the opportunity."

"Obviously I have a few more games in front of me, including a few mid-week games, so it is a good opportunity for me to get minutes under my belt."

"My ultimate objective is to play for the Rovers first-team."

"Whatever I do in the meantime is all geared towards getting to that stage in my career."

"Everything I do, whether that be on loan or in training, is always building to play here at Bristol Rovers in the first-team."
