8 November 2016

Bristol Rovers will head to Fratton Park looking to pick up  a positive result to enhance their chances of progressing to the knock-out stages of the Checkatrade Trophy.

Team News: Rovers have a fully fit squad to choose from heading into the game, with the exception of Jake Clarke-Salter, who is on England-U20 duty.

Marcus' View: "We want to go out and win and we have a squad capable of doing just that.'

"After watching Portsmouth's last game at Fratton Park in the Checkatrade Trophy and even though that there wasn't a big crowd there, they still quite noisy."

"You still had the bells in the background, which is what Fratton Park is all about and whenever I have played there, or been there as a coach, when you hear the bells at Fratton Park you know instantly what ground you are at."

Opposition: Portsmouth currently occupy fifth position in SkyBet League Two and head into the game on the back of two homes defeats at Fratton Park and haven't picked up a win at home in their previous five outings.
Dangerman - Kyle Bennett: The twenty-six-year-old winger has plenty of experience of the Football League and has been a prominent feature for Portsmouth so far this season.

After starting his career as a trainee at Wolves, it was a move to Doncaster that ignited his career, as the winger bagged fifteen goals in over one-hundred appearances for the Yorkshire outfit.

Bennett arrived at Fratton Park in May 2015 and has since made over fifty appearances for Portsmouth and has taken part in both of Pompey's Checkatrade Trophy fixtures this season.

Last Time Out: Rovers' last visit to Portsmouth back in February 2016 ended in a 3-1 defeat, with Lee Brown scoring the consolation goal on the day.

Tickets: Supporters can Pay on the Day at Fratton Park.
