The dust has hardly settled on our promotion to League One, but already manager Darrell Clarke is preparing for next season.
All senior professionals, with the exception of Rory Fallon, who has been released, have been offered terms for the 2016/17 campaign.
Speaking today Darrell said; “We have discussed the contracts with the Board and letters have today been sent out to all senior professionals offering them terms for next season.
“Negotiations have been ongoing for some time now and it was important that we confirmed everything in writing as soon as possible after the end of the season.”
Once players have signed their new deals the news will be announced, first of all, by the club; “As players agree terms and sign their contracts, we will announce the news exclusively on the club’s website.”
No decisions have yet been taken on our first and second year professionals; “Decisions on their future will be taken early next week.”
The manager also confirmed that, with one exception, all of last season’s second year scholars have been released.
“A decision was taken some time ago that we would be offering a contract to Alfie Kilgour, but apart from him we will not be offering contracts to any of our other second year scholars.
