MATCH PREVIEW: AFC WIMBLEDON

8 March 2016

We take a quick look at tonight's opponents!

Bristol Rovers go into today's game looking to build on Saturday's win against Notts County.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be looking to secure a valuable three points against fellow play-off chasers AFC Wimbledon.

Team News: Stuart Sinclair and Rory Gaffney look likely to miss out with injury with loan signing Oliver McBurnie eligible for selection.

Darrell's View:”They are all tough games but when you play a team with their [AFC Wimbledon] away record, you have to expect a game because you don't get a record like that without having a decent side.

"We have been on a good run at the Mem and want that to continue this evening with the supporters behind us from the very first whistle."

Opposition: Tonight's opponents AFC Wimbledon currently sit one place and three points behind Darrell Clarke's men in the SkyBet League Two table with 53 points from their 34 games this season. The Dons were firing well before stuttering of late only picking up two points from their last nine available. However, the fixture list has been unkind to Wimbledon as they have faced Oxford United, Northampton Town and Accrington Stanley in their last three games.

Dangerman - Lyle Taylor: Greenwich-born striker signed for the Dons in July 2015 after his release by Scunthorpe United. Taylor has gone onto to be one of the leagues most deadly marksmen this season scoring 15 goals including an equaliser at Northampton Town two games ago.

Last Time Out: Both sides played out a goalless draw The Cherry Records Stadium on Boxing Day.

Tickets: Supporters can pay on the gate for this tonight's game.
