MATCH PREVIEW: ACCRINGTON STANLEY

30 January 2016

We take a quick look at today's opponents!

Bristol Rovers go into today's game looking to put together another good run away from home, building on the win against Oxford United last time out.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be looking to stamp their authority by securing three points against fellow play-off contenders Accrington Stanley.

Team News: Willy Puddy looks like the clubs only absentee.

Darrell's View:”They are all tough games but this one will be even tougher on their pitch.

"Getting a positive result today could give us some breathing space with one of the sides below us that have games in hand."

Opposition: Today's opponents Accrington Stanley sit in 7th place in the Sky Bet League Two table with 42 points from their 24 games this season. However last time out they lost 2-1 to Exeter City thanks to goals from Tom Nicholls and Christian Ribeiro after Shay McCartan put Stanley a goal to the good after three minutes.

Dangerman - Josh Windass: Former Huddersfield youngster who joined the Reds in the summer of 2014 after a spell training with the club. Winds found his form towards the end of the 2014/15 campaign, where he scored six goals in 14 games. He also tops Stanley’s goal scoring charts for this season with 11 goals.

Last Time Out: Substitute Billy Kee scored an acrobatic effort with his first touch of the game to secure all three points for Stanley back in September.
