Rovers head to Shrewsbury Town this Saturday in SkyBet League One.
Team News: Rovers will be without defender Jake Clarke-Salter, who is still recovering from an arm injury sustained in our fixture against Charlton at the Mem.
Darrell's View: "Regardless of what is going on at clubs with fixtures, suspensions and injuries, come 3pm Saturday it will be 11 men versus 11 men so it’s a case of going there, putting in a performance and getting a positive result."
“Clubs at this level rarely worry about injuries and suspensions because everyone has a squad large enough to deal with these things. I’ve got injuries here but you just get on with it because it’s part of the game.
“They’ve got plenty of players in their side that have experience at this level and could cause us issues, so I’m confident their suspensions won’t weaken them too much.”
Dangerman - Louis Dodds: After starting out at the Leicester City Academy, the midfielder turned professional with the Foxes in 2006.
He spent the 2006–07 season on loan at Northwich Victoria and then progressed to a loan spell with Rochdale in the Football League.
The midfielder then spent the entirety of the 2007–08 campaign on loan at Lincoln City, before joining Port Vale on a permanent deal in July 2008.
During his spell at Port Vale, the midfielder helped the club to secure promotion out of League Two in 2012–13 with seven goals in just under forty appearances.
After a spell of eight seasons at Port Vale, Dodds made the switch to Shrewsbury in May 2016.
So far this season the thirty-year-old midfielder has been on the scoresheet on six occasions and has scored in his last two outings.
Last Time Out: Rovers' last visit to Shrewsbury was back in February 2012, where a second half James Collins strike meant the Gas left Shropshire empty-handed.
Tickets: Rovers have sold out their allocation of tickets for the game.
