In this exclusive interview with GasPlayerHD, striker Rory Gaffney discusses Saturday's win against Bury and shifts attention to our upcoming visit to Shrewsbury Town.

Casting his thought's back to Saturday's victory at the Mem, Rory spoke about his disappointment of not being able to add more goals to his tally on the day, with the striker creating a number of opportunities during the match.

"I was disappointed with the chance that I missed in the first-half, where I managed to round the 'keeper and I slightly lost my footing and then when I looked up I was slightly surprised to see two defenders on the line and by the time I took the extra touch to steady myself my shot got blocked."

"I thought the minute that I managed get the ball round the goalkeeper that was it and I just wanted to steady myself to tap the ball in and I obviously wasn't aware of the two defenders that had managed to get back to cover."

With the busy festive period approaching, the striker reiterated how tight the league table is and how key it will be to string together a run of positive results.

"I suppose the way that both League One and League Two are constructed, three defeats can see you slide down the table, but three wins on the bounce can see you fly right up to the table."

"You can see that the top four or five teams in League One are starting to just pull away a little, so you have to keep pace with them, otherwise, there will be just that once place left, with six or seven teams fighting for it.

Next up for Rovers is a trip to Shrewsbury this coming Saturday. The hosts currently occupy a relegation spot in SkyBet League One, but the forward relayed that it won't affect the way squad approaches the game.

"Shrewsbury had a good win last weekend at Millwall. We went to the Den last month and experienced a tough day there. I thought Millwall played very well against us, although the sending off early for Daniel Leadbitter didn't make it a fair contest."

"We can't take anything for granted, with Shrewsbury being down near the bottom of the table. When we went to Chesterfield a couple of weeks ago, they were in a similar position and they managed to turn us over."
