ROVERS TO POTENTIALLY PLAY CHELSEA IN EFL CUP SECOND ROUND

Bristol Rovers know their potential opponents for the EFL Cup Second Round ahead of tomorrow night's game against Cardiff City.

Darrell Clarke's men take on Championship Cardiff City in the First Round at the Memorial Stadium tomorrow evening.

Should Rovers beat Cardiff they will travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Premier League side Chelsea.

The Second Round draw caused some confusion with fans due to the seeding for the competition so we will try and do our best explaining the situation.

Due to rankings for seeded teams, Cardiff City currently occupy the final seeding spot in the draw.

Should Cardiff win tomorrow night, they will retain their seeding and travel to Glanford Park to take on Scunthorpe United with Bristol City facing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Should Rovers win tomorrow night, they will take on Premier League Chelsea, with Bristol City taking on Scunthorpe.

All Second Round ties will be on the week commencing August 22.
