MATCH PREVIEW: WYCOMBE WANDERERS

6 October 2015

We take a quick look at tonight's opponents!

Bristol Rovers go into today's game looking progress to the area Quarter Finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be looking to bring their fine form away from the Mem into tonight's game.

Team News: Will Puddy is the only long term injury absentee for the Rovers squad with Jake Gosling, Tom Lockyer and Ellis Harrison away on International duty.

Darrell's View:”We need to carry last weeks results into tonight's game and we need to kick start our season at home.

"We haven't been performing well enough at home and have been on the receiving end of some narrow defeats which we need to put a stop to."

Opposition: Wycombe Wanderers currently occupy second place in SkyBet League Two with 21 points from their 11 games. Gareth Ainsworth's men received a bye in First Round so this will be their first game in this seasons competition.

Dangerman - Garry Thompson: Experienced forward who joined the Blues in June 2015 following his release from Notts County. Thompson finished as Notts County's top scorer in League 1 last season, contributing 12 goals as the Magpies suffered relegation, and he moved south to join Wycombe on a two-year contract. Thompson is Wanderers joint top goal scorer this season having hit the back of the net three times already this season.

Last Time Out: David Clarkson's 76th minute winner secured all three points for Rovers in a tightly contested game at Adams Park in April 2014.
