MATCH PREVIEW: CHESHAM UNITED

8 November 2015

A quick look at today's opponents

Bristol Rovers go into today's game looking to advance into the second round of the FA Cup.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be looking to bounce back from the clubs last outing at the Mem where they lost 1-4 to Newport County.

Team News: Will Puddy is the clubs only long term absentee.

Darrell's View:”It was individual errors that cost us against Newport and we need to get rid of them if we want to keep winning football matches, especially at home.

"Chesham will be a good test for us because they will be really up for it trying to put out a League side but we need to make sure our quality shines through."

Opposition: Today’s game will be the fifth round of the cup for Chesham. They entered the competition back in September's 1st Qualifying Round when a 0-0 home draw with Aylesbury FC was followed by a 2-1 replay victory with goals from Ryan Blake and Barry Hayles.

Chesham followed up their FA Cup last round win against Enfield Town with a convincing 3-1 victory over league leaders Poole and, after last weekend's 2-0 FA Trophy victory at Billericay, the Generals come to the Memorial Ground on the back of three straight wins.

Dangerman - Barry Hayles: Chesham's player/coach has been injured for the past five weeks but declared himself fit for today's game earlier this week. The ex-Rovers man who made over 60 appearances for the club will be looking to get on the scoresheet against his old side.

Last Time Out: This will be the first ever meeting of the two sides.

Tickets: Supporters will be able to pay on the day for today's game.
