MATCH PREVIEW: CARLISLE UNITED

14 November 2015

A quick look at today's opponents

Bristol Rovers go into today's game looking to bounce back from their two cup exits inside a week.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be looking to continue their march towards the SkyBet League Two Play-Off spaces against Carlisle United today.

Team News: Will Puddy is the clubs only long term absentee and Ellis Harrison and Tom Lockyer will miss the game because of representing the Wales Under-21's in their qualifying campaign.

Darrell's View:”Even though we have lost the last two games I don't think we deserved to.

"We put in a fantastic performance Wednesday and still got knocked out of the JPT so we need to get back to the Mem and get a result against Carlisle."

Opposition: Carlisle United currently sit just outside the playoff places in SkyBet League Two having gathered 26 points from their 16 games so far this campaign. Last time out in the League Keith Curle's men battled back from a two goal deficit to beat Yeovil Town 3-2 at home thanks to a Michael Raynes brace and a second half strike from Newcastle loanee Macaulay Gillesphey.

Dangerman - Jabo Ibehre: The division's joint second highest goal scorer (8) hasn't played for United since limping off against Newport County back in September but could be in line to make a return to action at the Mem later today.

Last Time Out: Last time the two sides met Rovers were on the end of a 4-0 defeat at Brunton Park thanks to goals from James Berrett (2), Craig Curran and Liam Cooper.
