Thanks to the combined efforts of kit manufacturer Errea and local sports and leisurewear company Monsoon Marketing, we are delighted to announce that we have taken delivery of the yellow shirts we told you about last week.
Our kit supplier, Errea, flew in the shirts at the end of last week and Monsoon, whose Marketing Director is former Bristol and England rugby union flanker Mike Rafter, have been working round the clock to enable us to have the shirts on sale from today.
Bristol Rovers Director Barry Bradshaw, pictured here with Mike, said; “It really has been a team effort to make sure we had these shirts available for our supporters to wear at Wembley.
“Everyone, from Errea to Monsoon and our own staff have pulled out all the stops to ensure we received them on time.
“My only regret is that there were insufficient time for us to obtain a stock of our blue and white quartered shirts for our fans to purchase for the Promotion Final.
“However we have a wide range of other merchandise for supporters to purchase, including T shirts and polo shirts, before we travel up to Wembley and I would urge them to call into Pirate Leisure or check our online shop to see exactly what is available.”
Monsoon Marketing, a local supplier and specialist in embroidered and printed clothing are proud to handle the embellishments for this limited edition yellow shirt for Bristol Rovers’ trip to Wembley. The shirts have been a great addition to the Rovers playing kit and a great opportunity for Monsoon to rekindle the relationship with Bristol Rovers.
Mike, who made a solitary Rovers appearance, against Nottingham Forest in a charity match back in the early 1980’s, said: “The road to Wembley is never an easy one but Rovers have done the City of Bristol, and the region, proud.
“Monsoon are proud to support the club and helping to make sure that Rovers supporters look the part as well as the team playing the part and we hope that those who purchase these shirts will keep them as a memento of a great day at Wembley.
“It’s been a pleasure to be involved, albeit in a small way, in the club’s build up to their appearance in the Promotion Final and I wish them every success as they bid to regain their Football League status.
“Come on Rovers!”
Just to remind you that the limited edition replica yellow shirts will bear the Bristol Rovers logo, the Vanarama Conference logo on one sleeve, the name of our away sponsor Office Beverages and, underneath the distinctive Pirate logo the words ‘Wembley Finalists v Grimsby Town 2015’.
