Saturday's Man of the Match talks about his performanceLoan signing Adam Dawson made his home debut in Saturday's 2-0 win over Lincoln City and picked up the Man of the Match award, but the Leicester man is just happy to be back playing football.
"It has been frustrating with the way the fixtures have fallen with us not having many games this month, but I think I've been working hard on the training pitch and Darrell told me to keep going and I would get my chance.
"To be honest I was shocked to see my name in the starting 11 for Saturday, I looked at the bench first and didn't see my name so thought I wasn't in the squad.
"I loved every minute of it out there on Saturday, the fans were amazing as well and they give you that massive boost of confidence to push on in the game.
"It was good to play in a team like this with so many good players that allow you to express yourself and I thought that we played really well on Saturday.
"Personally I thought I did OK, it was a good start for me and all I was hoping was that I could do enough to secure a place in the team for the next game and maybe beyond that.
"I've not played since New Year's Day for Nuneaton against Telford so to get almost 90 minutes under my belt was really good for me and I hope I can improve as the games go on.
Dawson's loan spell is due to expire after the game against Grimsby on Saturday and as yet discussions haven't taken place to extend the loan.
"I'm not too sure about the loan and all of that
"I'm just trying to get my name on the teamsheet for Saturday and we will go from there.
Rovers travel to Blundell Park to take on 4th placed Grimsby Town on Saturday and Adam knows what to expect on the field.
"I played against Grimsby when I was at Nuneaton in the FA Trophy and we lost that game.
"They are a good side and really physical and they are doing well in the league and it is going to be a big game.
"They won on Saturday so confidence will be high but we will be going their trying to get all three points.
