MATCH PREVIEW: LEYTON ORIENT

28 December 2015

We take a quick look at today's opponents!

Bristol Rovers go into today's game looking to pick up their first win of the festive period.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be looking to repeat the performance from their home match after beating York City 2-1 at the Mem.

Team News: Injuries to Will Puddy and Stuart Sinclair will be assessed on the day.

Darrell's View:”We didn't put in the performance that we know were are capable of at Wimbledon and we will need to put that right in front of our home supporters today.

"Leyton Orient will provide a different test to Wimbledon and we will have to be at the top of our game to get a result this afternoon."

Opposition: Today's opponents Leyton Orient currently sit in 9th place in the Sky Bet League Two table having picked up 36 points from their 23 games this season. Orient have put together a good run in their last six games going unbeaten and picking up wins against York City and most recently Portsmouth.

Dangerman - Jay Simpson: The leagues top goalscorer could be in town this afternoon. The former Arsenal man has hit the back of the net on 17 occasions so far but is a doubt having sustained a calf injury against Portsmouth on Boxing Day.

Last Time Out: Rovers went down 0-2 to then unbeaten Orient thanks to Lloyd James’ 22nd minute penalty after Tyler Lyttle was adjudged to have brought down Paul McCallum, before Jay Simpson added a second in first half stoppage time.
