Trotman comes into starting 11

Rovers manager Darrell Clarke opted for just the one change ahead of today's visit to the Merseyrail Community Stadium.

The last time these two sides met in a competitive fixture was some 40 years ago when the home side ran out 1-0 winners in a Third Division match at Haig Avenue.

Rovers were promoted at the end of that season, and fielded the following side: Eadie, Jacobs, Parsons, Green, Taylor, Stanton, Stephens, O’Brien, Rudge, Staniforth, Dobson

That season’s league meeting at Eastville ended in a 3-1 win for Rovers, with Warboys notching a hat trick.

The Eastville attendance was 10,472, while the crowd for the game at Southport was 1,856.

Today's line-up for the boys in the blue and white quarters:
