Monday's event took place in horrendous conditions with wind and heavy rain throughout the day and the decision was made after nine holes to split the day into two, nine hole competitions.
The fifth hole at Farrington was changed to the Chairman's Charity hole in aid of The Goodwill Cause.
The Goodwill Cause is in memory of William Woods who died suddenly on June 3 from a rare condition called childhood Burkitt's Lymphoma.
To support this research in to Burkitt’s The Good Will Cause will be donating the majority of funds to the North of England Children’s Cancer Research Fund, one of the country’s leading research institutes into childhood cancer.
Whilst Will lived all his short life in Newcastle, his Grandfather lives in Bristol and is a life-long Gashead.
For more information on The Goodwill Cause or to donate, please take a look at their Just Giving Page.
Bristol Rovers raised £400 on the day and the club will also be doing a bucket collection at the home game with Kidderminster on Saturday 15th of November and all support is welcomed.
