ROVERS TO SPEND LESS TIME ON THE ROAD

27 May 2014

Less travelling time in 2014/15

Bristol Rovers will spend less time on the road travelling to away games next season.

Rovers will travel 450 miles less this year than they did during the 2013/14 league campaign.

There will be a lot of new grounds for Gasheads to visit, but the furthest adventure will be the 586 mile round trip to Gateshead.

Last season Rovers travelled 6,794 miles, which included the relatively short trips to Newport, Cheltenham, Exeter and Oxford, and the long journey to Hartlepool – a round trip of 546 miles.

This season they will travel 6,344 - including short journeys to Forest Green and Salisbury.

As mentioned, Gateshead is the longest trip, with Grimsby the next longest at 231 miles each way.
