Education opportunities increasing

Bristol Rovers Community Trust are delighted to announce a new link with the University of South Wales to deliver a foundation degree in Community Football Coaching and Development.

The foundation degree has been designed by USW, in conjunction with the Football League Trust, in order to identify the type of skills and qualities that are required to work within professional football clubs’ Community Trusts or NGBs in areas of growth such as social inclusion, community coaching and football development.

The two-year course – which combines studying and practical coaching experience in the community – will be delivered at the Memorial Stadium via online lectures, and offers the students the opportunities of undertaking industry recognised qualifications and an optional top up to a BSc (Hons) degree upon completion.

The first intake of FdSc Community Football Coaching and Development students will begin studying in September 2014.
