Group have asked for leave to appeal the JR decision

We have today received notice that TRASHorfield have asked for leave to appeal the High Court’s decision to throw out their complaints put forward at a Judicial Review hearing.

The appeal refers to their second original claim regarding retail mitigation.

We are extremely disappointed that the decision reached by Mr Justice Hickinbottom is being ignored, and this minority group continue to challenge a democratic decision made by Bristol City Council that has been upheld in the High Court..

This application will cause an initial further seven days delay to a project that will have such wide reaching benefits to the local community.

The judge now has seven days to respond to TRASH and advise whether he will grant them the right to appeal.
