Education Department delighted to continue relationship with IT provider
Bristol Rovers are delighted announce their continued relationship with education IT providers Hexakis.
The Bristol based company have supported our Education Department for the last three years, and have just committed to helping us for another season.
Hexakis work with schools to improve standards of teaching through the use of technology.
Head of Education Adam Tutton said: “We would like to thank Hexakis for their continued support.
“Over the last three years the support we have received from Hexakis has allowed us to greatly enhance our pupils learning experience.”
Hexakis are holding a seminar and hands on work shop at the Memorial Stadium on July 8th.
The event called OH NO! Where’s my ICT gone? is aimed at Head Teachers and ICT co-ordinators, and aims to help teachers engage with the new computing curriculum.
As well as full training, there will be inspirational talks from Russell Prue the ICT evangelist and broadcaster as well as Stuart Ball from Microsoft who will be sharing resources packs to take away.
Robbie Smith, Managing Director of Hexakis said: “The aim of the event isn’t just to look at a little bit of coding, there’s a 4th part that’s being completely overlooked, Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL).
“This aims to engage pupils across a range of subjects through the use of technology.
“Schools are facing huge challenges with delivering the new curriculum. There are so many new changes it’s no wonder they still don’t know what to do.
“According to our survey only 2% of teachers feel comfortable teaching ICT.”
