We need your votes!

The Bristol Rovers Community Trust needs your help to secure a lottery grant to set up a life-changing health and fitness project.

The Fans4Life project, which aims to improve the health and well-being of the people of Bristol and South Gloucestershire using an exercise and education programme, has been short-listed for a People’s Millions grant.

PHONE LINES ARE NOW OPEN. Please call 0871 626 88 93 to vote for Fans4Life*.

Our show will air on ITV’s People’s Millions tonight, with voting takes place from 9am to Midnight.

Matt Harrold has been chosen as the club’s ambassador for this project and he’s delighted that he is to be involved.

He said: “I’m very proud that I’ve been asked to fill the role. People who know me will also know that I’m a little bit of a fitness and health freak and that it’s something I’m quite passionate about.

“I think your health is something you really can’t take for granted so the better your diet and the more you exercise, can only help you enjoy your life more."

Even if he wasn’t a pro footballer, he feels he would still be eating healthily.

“I think I would have; my wife and family are quite health orientated. It’s something that interests me, if I’m honest, and I have been known to preach to the lads about healthy eating on more than one occasion!”

“The thing about fitness is that once you get the bug for it then it can take over and who knows where it will take you.”

The Bristol Rovers Community Trust is an independent charity working within the community to improve the quality of life for local people

The Fans4Life project will target sports fans living in one of the poorest health areas of the South West.

Fans4Life will help sports fans who do very little exercise and are overweight to lead a more active and healthy lifestyle.

Research has shown that taking part in this programme could add 6 seasons to a fan’s life.

Fans4Life desperately needs this funding to support our local communities to access free ways to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle.

If you vote for Fans4Life 10,000 sports fans and their families can change their lives.
