TRUST TO WORK WITH PREMIER LEAGUE

27 November 2013

New satellite sports club coming soon

Bristol Rovers Community Trust is delighted to announce confirmed funding from the Premier League Charitable Fund to deliver the successful Premier League 4 Sport (PL4S) sports participation project.

PL4S started in September 2009, initially working with the NGBs of 4 sports: Badminton, Judo, Table Tennis and Volleyball, and has helped tens of thousands of young people get involved in sport in their local community.

Delivered by the Premier League, Sport England and the Youth Sport Trust, PL4S sees Premier League and Football League Clubs delivering a number of Satellite Club sports sessions at community sports facilities, with the ultimate aim of transitioning the young people onto Community Sports Clubs to sustain their involvement in that sport.

PL4S has expanded to 12 sports and the Trust will deliver Athletics, Basketball and Boxing sessions around the city and information regarding these sessions will be released shortly.
