Raising funds for the two community trusts

Fans from both sides of Bristol will be putting their differences aside to take part in the eagerly awaited fans charity derby match this weekend.

The game, which takes place at Ashton Gate on Sunday, will be raising money for the Bristol Rovers and Bristol City Community Trusts.

Bristol Rovers Community Manager Peter Aitken said: “I think it’s fantastic that we are into the third year of this event and all credit must go to both sets of supporters for continuing with their efforts in raising funds for communities within Bristol.

“We’ve been very fortunate that in the last two years the proceeds raised by this fine event have been shared between both Community Trusts to help continue the important work we do.

“As Community Manager I would like to offer my sincere thanks to all involved and may this great cross-supporter match continue for a long time to come.”

As well as the match, there will also be a raffle and auction in the bar, with prizes including:

*Corporate Hospitality for two people at a Rovers game of your choice (subject to availability).
*A signed Rovers pennant
*Arsenal shirt signed by all the players.
*Adrenaline Smartbox voucher including 200 adrenaline-fuelled activities (RRP £120).
*Two hospitality tickets for the Southampton v Manchester United Premier League fixture next season.

Supporters should note that all payments for the raffle and auction must be made in cash only.

The game kicks off at 2pm at Ashton Gate. There will be refreshments available, and make sure you bring plenty of cash for the auction.

The stadium will be open from 1pm for the 2pm kick-off, with adults paying just £2 and under-16s £1 entry.
