Nick on Capital One Cup draw and Section 106
I was very pleased with this morning’s Capital One Cup draw, pitting us against an exciting Championship side.
Watford came very close to gaining promotion to the Premiership last season, and it will be good to challenge ourselves against talented opposition.
It is going to be a difficult test for us, but we managed to beat them two years ago, so I see no reason why we cannot do the same this time around.
It will bring a good bit of early excitement to the season, and we hope we will see a bumper crowd at the Memorial Stadium.
I am also very pleased to be able to tell you that the Section 106 agreement was sealed by Bristol City Council on Friday, beginning the three month Judicial Review period.
As I said last week, although we have been frustrated by the hold ups, without any further delays, we should be on site at the end of September.
Finally, unfortunately I am not going to be available for my annual Q&A at the Fun Day this year.
However, following on from the success of the Q&A that was held in the bar before the Accrington Stanley game, I have decided to do another similar session at one of the first home games of the season.
We will announce a date once the fixtures have been finalised, and I hope to see plenty of you there and I will do my best to answer all your queries.
