Your foreign coins could help the Supporters Club

We had a great response to our requests for foreign coins within the past year, but as we are in the summer holiday period, here is a little reminder that the Supporters Club are still looking for more donated foreign coins.

Foreign coins brought back from holiday cannot often be exchanged in banks or bureaux de change and therefore have no intrinsic value. However, as we are looking to get the coins exchanged in bulk, your old holiday money can be used to help raise valuable extra funds.

Even old coins that are now out of circulation, or damaged coins, can still be donated, as they have a smelting value when in large enough numbers.  So if you have gone overseas this year, or have some old foreign coins or notes gathering dust in the back of your cupboards, please pass them on to the Supporters Club.

We will also still continue to collect sterling “Coppers for the Club” in the collection tins found at 199 Two Mile Hill Road, Pirate Leisure, the match day port cabin and with the programme sellers at the Memorial  Gates.

No spare change is too small and this will save you walking around the Stadium with those heavy copper coins weighing you down whilst helping the Supporters Club.
