Info for supporters ahead of Saturday's game
We have received the following information from Gwent Police ahead of Saturday's trip to Newport:
Away supporters will all enter the ground via gate 6, with turnstiles opening at 1pm. From this time fans will have exclusive access to the “David Watkins” suite. This bar in this suite will accommodate over 150 persons and to accommodate more, the concourse below the stand will also be available as an area to drink prior to the game.
There are numerous TV Screens around this area which will be showing Sky Sports. Food will be also available from 1pm in the away end.
For those who haven’t visited the ground before, the away supporters area is made up of 500+ seats in the new Bisley stand and 500+ on an open seated structure behind and goals
There is a large multi storey car park situated near the Newport Leisure centre that allows easy access to the Millennium Footbridge which is the route that all away fans will use to access the ground.
Fans travelling from Bristol should leave the M4 at Junction 25A which is just prior to the Brynglas Tunnels, joining the A4042 into Newport. This will take you the short distance into the City and easy access to the Car park. The Millennium Bridge will be clearly visible over the river just prior to the leisure centre and University Building.
With regard to the Supporters traveling by Coach, it is our intention to escort them from an RV point on the M4 (Gwent area) into the drop off point.
