BOOK SIGNING THIS SATURDAY

30 August 2013

Get your copy of Keith Brookman's new book.

On Saturday afternoon, from 12.30pm - 2.00pm in the Bristol Room, a number of former players will be on hand to sign copies of Keith Brookman's new book 'The Bristol Rovers Archive  Volume 2'

The book contains 100 colour photos taken between 1991 - 2001, an interesting decade in the life of Bristol's oldest professional football club.

So much happened during that time, that the photos offer only a tantalising glimpse of some of the players and events that are now consigned to the club's illustrious past.

Keith has researched and added detailed descriptions of all of the images to produce a book that charts both the highs and the lows of life at Bristol Rovers during this time.

The decade began with Gerry Francis at the helm, and he was followed by Martin Dobson, Dennis Rofe, Malcolm Allison, Steve Cross (briefly),  John Ward, Ian Holloway and Garry Thompson.

The club moved back to Bristol after ten years spent playing at Twerton Park, Bath, and there were two relegations and a second trip to Wembley.

This book is a companion to Volume One, which spanned 40 years, 1951 - 1991 and both books will be available to purchase on Saturday.

Players who feature in both books will be on hand to sign copies purchased on the day or copies that may have already have been purchased. Both books retail at £9.99 each and profits from any sales on Saturday will go to the club.

The following former players have indicated that they will be joining us on Saturday: Andy Tillson, Frankie Bennett, Harold Jarman, Ian Alexander, Vaughan Jones, Phil Bater and Peter Aitken.

Unfortunately Brian Parkin, who had hoped to be with us tomorrow, is now unable to be in attendance but the seven players listed above will all be in attendance.

Twenty copies of volume 2 have been signed by John Ward, Marcus Stewart and Steve Yates, all of whom are featured in the book, and will be available to purchase.
