Sad death of former defender
Everyone at Bristol Rovers was saddened to hear of the death of former player Kevin Moore.
Extensively experienced central defender Kevin Moore scored twice for Rovers more than twelve years apart.
An England Schools cap, his first goal came in August 1980 when he conceded an own goal whilst with Grimsby Town, in a League fixture played at Ashton Gate in the aftermath of the Eastville fire, and his second was against Birmingham City in October 1992, during his brief spell in the quartered shirts.
He spent his final years in a home, suffering from Pick’s disease, a rare form of dementia, and passed away on his fifty-fifth birthday.
