Youth team in action this afternoon

This afternoon, at our training ground, our U-18 side take on Oxford United in a match that could determine who takes the South West Youth Alliance League title.

If Rovers beat the current league leaders, then they will take the title, a draw means they have to beat Exeter on Saturday to be crowned champions, while an Oxford win would see them win the league.

"It's Oxford's last game of the season," said Youth Team boss Alan Walsh, "and we know we face a difficult task. They are top of the league for a reason, are a very good side and have scored a lot of goals this season.

"However we will be going all out to win, as we we want to win the league today. I'm sure that Oxford will be saying exactly the same, so it promises to be a really good game."

Alan has almost a full squad available to him for the match. Sam Kamara will definitely miss out, following a hamstring injury sustained in last week's Alliance Area Cup Final win against Watford, while Aaron Ward Baptiste has a knee injury, sustained in training yesterday, and is a doubt.

Kick off this afternoon is 2.00pm
