Lucas on target for U-18's

Bristol Rovers 1
Plymouth Argyle 1
Our U-18 side took a point from a 1-1 draw with Plymouth Argyle last Saturday, thanks to a goal from Jamie Lucas.
Having seen his side fall behind in the game, Development Coach Marcus Stewart was delighted with the way his side responded, particularly in the closing stages of the match.
"We looked very strong in the last 20 minutes, when we were chasing the game, but off the back of doing that we looked very solid at the back.
"Normally the scenario is, that when you are chasing a game, you are always going to get hit on the counter attack but that wasn't the case and we kept Plymouth in their final third for all of that time.
"Our braveness and boldness paid off and we scored a deserved equaliser through Jamie Lucas and then we had a couple of good chances in the final five minutes to have won the game comfortably.
"I was really pleased with the way the lads responded after falling behind. They had done really well the week before, against Exeter, even though they were beaten. They did it again in this game and got a deserved point for their courage in taking the game to Argyle and their braveness at the back."
Goalscorer Jamie Lucas did particularly well, having been thwarted by the Argyle keeper just moments before netting the equalise, both opportunities coming in a one on one situation with the visiting shot stopper.
"The keeper had saved that first chance with his legs, so Jamie changed his mind the next time and took the ball round him before slotting the ball into an empty net."
