Striker looking forward to tomorrow's game

On loan striker Tom Hitchcock arrived at the training ground for his first session with his new team mates this morning, and is looking forward to taking his place in the starting lineup tomorrow afternoon when Rovers take on Plymouthy Argyle.

The former Blackburn Rovers player, who enjoyed a loan spell with tomorrow’s opponents last season, has yet to make his QPR debut, but feels that his time at Rovers will prove to be invaluable experience.

“I found out earlier this week that Rovers were interested in taking me on loan and I’m looking forward to playing here.

“I didn’t have to think twice about coming here, in spite of the position Rovers find themselves in the league. I wanted to get some games under my belt, and this is a good opportunity for me to do that.”

Whilst at Plymouth last season, he made a total of ten appearances.

“I enjoyed my time at Home Park, even though it was in difficult circumstances.

I still know a few players there, and I’m sure there will be some banter flying around before the game tomorrow.

“Joining Rovers is a good chance for me to get some more league experience. Playing U-21 football is good, but not the same as playing in the league.

“All I’m looking forward to now playing and scoring some goals.”
