In 2020 Rovers came up against Chelsea again winning a thrilling encounter 4-3 behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Rovers had led 3-1 during the match but the visitors drew level after two second-half goals. A superb stop from Jordi van Stappershoef kept Rovers in the game with the time ticking away before Josh Hare popped up with a late goal which gave Rovers the win.
