MATCH PREVIEW: Coventry City vs Bristol Rovers

Saturday 25th March (Ricoh Arena - 3pm Kick-Off)

24 March 2017

We take a quick look at this weekend's opponents!

Team News: Rovers are without defender Peter Hartley, who remains sidelined with a long-term injury and Ryan Sweeney and Jake Clarke-Salter who are both away on International duty.

Steve Yates’s View: “Coventry are a club who have had a bit of history and I'm sure their fans are upset about their situation but that's not for us to worry about.

"We'll work hard and try to get three points, they've just changed managers and had a little rebound so we'll be on our toes and ready".

Opposition: This weekend's opposition Coventry City currently sit at the bottom of the SkyBet League One table with 29 points from their 39 games so far this season. Last time out the Sky Blues secured all three points against fellow relegation strugglers Port Vale thanks to first-half goals from Kyel Reid and Kwame Thomas.

 #11 - Kyel Reid - Midfield

The twenty-nine is well versed to life in the Football League, with previous spells at West Ham United, Barnsley, Crystal Palace, Blackpool, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sheffield United, Charlton Athletic, Bradford City and Preston North End.

Following the midfielder's release from Preston North End, Kyel joined Coventry in July 2016 and has made over thirty appearances for far this season.

The midfielder has two goals to his name this season and was one the scoresheet during Coventry's victory over Port Vale on Tuesday night.

Last Time Out: Rovers secured an impressive 4-1 on Boxing Day thanks to a Billy Bodin hat-trick and Peter Hartley's first half strike.

Tickets: Tickets will not be available on the day with 4,069 tickets sold for the fixture.

Betting: Bristol Rovers have been priced up by Sky Bet as the 11/10 favourites to win at bottom-of-the-table Coventry on Saturday afternoon. The Sky Blues can be backed at 5/2 to get the three points and the EFL sponsors offer the draw at 12/5.

Three goals have been netted in both of Rovers' last two games and Sky Bet make it 3/1 that three goals are scored in this contest.
