The Official Bristol Rovers Former Players Association (BRFPA) is now up and running.

This is the first time in the modern era that Rovers have had such an organisation.

It is independent of the football club, but has benefited from a lot of support from the club

including them organising and hosting an inaugural ‘Former Players Dinner’ on 27th April
2017 at The Memorial Stadium.

The Association primarily aims to promote the history and heritage of BRFC and to foster
the spirit of fellowship, sportsmanship and goodwill among former players and supporters.

The Association will also endeavour to help ex-players and ex-team staff in practical and
financial ways when needed.

Have a look at their website - - and keep in touch with all the latest news
and events by joining them on facebook and twitter.

Sporting and social activities planned will include a Golf Day on 27th September 2017 and
increased participation of former players in matchday hospitality areas as well a higher
number of half time appearances on the pitch.

Billy Clark has agreed to be the first ever BRFPA President. Billy will be involved in as
many BRFPA events as possible, and will be their figurehead: a fine example of loyalty
and determination.
