Ben, who joined Rovers in the summer of 2008 was with West Ham from the age of eleven, first as a schoolboy and then, from 2006, as a scholar.
He was released by the Premiership side at the end of the 2007/08 season and was spotted at the exit trials by Director of Football Lennie Lawrence, who invited him down to play for our reserve team.
Impressive appearances against Yeovil Town and Forest Green Rovers persuaded the management team to offer Ben a professional contract.
A powerful and pacy striker, who scored regularly for West Ham's Academy side, and who played a number of games for their reserves, the youngster is determined to push on and secure a first team place during the current season.
Having made a favourable impression during the pre season friendly against ADO Den Haag, Ben was included in the squad for the first game of the season and made his debut when going on as a second half substitute in the 1-1 draw with Brighton on 16th August.
