Charlie joined the club straight from our Centre of Excellence, in the summer of 2007, and signed a two year contract on his 17th birthday after making an impression in a handful of reserve team games during 2006/07.
He played both reserve and youth team football for much of last season, but was rewarded for some impressive displays when he made his first team debut as a second half substitute against Brighton in our last home game of the 2007/08 season. He was also on the bench, at Leyton Orient, for the final game of the campaign.
A combative midfielder who likes to get forward, he has a tendency to make things happen and likes to be involved in the game. He likes to get in the box and get on the end of things and has a strong physical presence.
Charlie is spending the first month of the current season on loan at Mangotsfield United.
