A very creative player, who signed his first pro contract in the summer of 2007, Matt is another graduate of our Centre of Excellence and Filton College.
He made his senior debut when going on as a second half substitute against Rushden & Diamonds, in the Second Round of the FA Cup, on 1st December 2007.
One week later he made his league debut, going on as a second half substitute against Huddersfield at the Galpharm Stadium.
He picked up another injury shortly afterwards and spent a month on loan with Chippenham Town before the season's end.
Primarily a striker, Matt can also play wide on the left or right. He has tremendous pace and a low centre of gravity. He also likes to take people on and can finish well and this season he will be looking to build on an impressive first year as a full time professional.
Matt is spending the first month of the season on loan at Tiverton Town.
