Alex signed his first pro contract in the summer of 2007, after graduating through our Centre of Excellence and Filton College.
The son of former Rovers goalkeeper, and current physiotherapist Phil, is a tough tackling central defender.
A very competitive player, his work rate is exceptional and he distributes the ball well, as demonstrated in youth and reserve team outings last season.
His progress in the reserves was rewarded with a place on the bench for the Second Round FA Cup tie against Rushden & Diamonds on 1st December 2007.
He will be looking to build on last season's progress during his second season as a full time professional.
