Midfielder Chris trained with the first team squad for much of the 2004/05 season, even though he was a still a third year scholar at Filton College.
Although he didn't make a first team appearance, he was a regular member of the squad and was on the bench no fewer than six occasions, the first time being for the home game against Macclesfield in December 2004.
Having completed his studies at Filton, Chris joined the first team squad for pre season training in the summer of 2005 and was signed as a non contract player.
He was awarded his first pro contract in January 2006 and made his long awaited first team debut when going on as a substitute in our 2-1 win against Chester City that month. There were to be two more substitute appearances before the end of the season and he made his first start for the club, against Macclesfield Town, in the final game of the season.
An accomplished midfielder, with a deceptive turn of pace, he distributes the ball well and has an eye for goal. Chris will be pushing hard for a regular first team spot this season.
