Former Watford striker Will Hoskins arrived at the Memorial Stadium in the summer of 2010, having signed a two year contract.

Will is a highly thought of striker and Rovers had to beat off strong competition from a number of other clubs for his signature.

An intelligent striker, both in and around the box, bringing him to the Memorial Stadium was regarded as something of a coup given the interest from elsewhere and he is an exciting prospect for the new season.

Born in Nottingham, the 24 year old began his career with Rotherham United, for whom he scored 23 goals in 73 league appearances before a move to Watford in January 2007.

In fact the Hornets made a double swoop on Rotherham, signing Lee Williamson at the same time as Hoskins, paying a combined fee of £1.2million to the Millers for both players.

Ironically his first goal for Watford came against Rovers in the First Round of the Carling Cup, on 12th August 2008, when his late strike sealed a 1-0 win for the Hornets.

He has also spent loan spells with Millwall and Nottingham Forest and played against Rovers, for the Lions, in November 2007.
