Bristol Rovers will spend less time on the road travelling to away games next season.

Rovers will travel 294 miles less this year than they did during the 2009/10 league campaign.

Newly promoted Bournemouth and Plymouth will both be short trips for Rovers compared to Southend and Gillingham who replaced them in League Two.

Last season Rovers travelled 6996 miles, which included long trips to Norwich and Leeds. This season they will travel 6702 - including the club's first visit to Victoria Road, the home of Dagenham and Redbridge; a 318 mile round trip..

Carlisle remains the longest away journey - a round trip of 550 miles, with Hartlepool just behind on 544. The promotion of Norwich leaves Huddersfield as the third furthest trip -at 404 miles.

Yeovil is the shortest trip at just 88 miles, with Swindon - who lost out on promotion in the play off finals - a close second on 90 miles. Bournemouth are the third closest team - a round trip of 164 miles.
