<BR>BRISTOL EVENING POST

January 2005

Ian Atkins wasn't happy with John Anderson's red card in the 2-0 defeat at Shrewsbury Town, although he was pleased with Ryan Clarke's contribution to the 3-1 win over Northampton Town a couple of days later. The week continued with stories of Leyton Orient making a bid for Dave Savage, Savage talking about his surprise at the transfer talk 24 hours later, and managing director Mike Turl wanting a permanent turnaround in the club's financial fortunes.

After the 1-1 draw with Cambridge United on Saturday 8th January, Christian Edwards admitted Rovers had blown their chance of pushing into the play-offs, sentiments echoed in the paper's report on the game.
