MANAGER ON KEEPER SITUATION

With transfer deadline day looming, manager Paul Trollope is closely monitoring the goalkeeping situation.

Mikkel Andersen's initial one month loan has now ended and it remains to be seen if he will return for another loan spell or if a new shot stopper is signed before Saturday's trip to Oldham.

Speaking at the training ground this morning, Paul said; "Other than a goalkeeper, there will be no one else coming in. We are assessing that situation, though.

" Mikkel has returned to Denmark with the U-21 squad, who have a game on Friday, and as his loan has expired we are in discussions with Reading regarding a possible extension.

"We have a number of other options if Mikkel is unable to return to us, and we are in discussions with a number of other clubs as well as Reading, and hope to be in a position to sign a goalkeeper before the transfer window shuts tomorrow."
