Daniel Jones has this afternoon extended his loan spell until the end of the season.

The Wolverhapton Wanderers defender has made a good impact during his initial month at the club, and will now be staying to help Rovers close the gap on the top six.

The 23-year-old has helped stabilise Rovers' defence, and has said that he would like to get on the score sheet before the end of the current campaign.

Bristol Rovers Chairman Nick Higgs said: " We are delighted to secure Daniel's services until the end of the season.

"He has done a great job helping to stablise the back four, and has also shown a talent for getting forward and linking well down the left with Jeff Hughes.

"He has slotted into the team very well, and we hope that continues over the last 11 games of the campaign."

A product of the Wolves Academy, Daniel has been at Molinuex since he was ten years old and has made a total of 10 league appearances for them.
