Paul Trollope is looking for a good points haul from the next three games.
The manager believes that if the team continue their recent form they are capable of beating any team in the division,
He told bristolrovers.co.uk: "We are in decent form now, four wins out of five is pleasing, and we have shown over a number of games what we can do and what we can achieve when we are highly motivated.
"That is the key over the next three games, that we get to that level of motivation and application. When we show it, we are capable of beating some of the best teams in the division.
"These next three games are important for us. We feel if we can keep everyone fit through the three games and show the mentality we showed against Swindon, Colchester and Charlton, we are capable of beating teams, and we will be looking for a good points return."
There are have been a few niggles, but Trolls is hoping to have everyone back and fit for the game against Tranmere on Saturday.
The side have also been boosted by the return of Wayne Brown, who is back from Fulham after extensive rehabilitation.
Trolls said: "We have had a few niggles that we have rested early in the week. Daniel Jones is having a bit of treatment on his ankle, but he will be back on Thursday.
"Mikkel Andersen is training back at reading today, which is something he does from time to time to keep him in there, but everyone else is ok.
"It is a major boost that Wayne Brown is going to rejoin the group this morning after an extensive rehabilitation at Fulham.
"He has trained with their reserves for four or five days, so he is ready to come back in the fold and will be available for the squad on Saturday, which is another number for us."
The manager had some words of praise for Byron Anthony, who has done a great job filling in at right back.
Trolls said: "The crisis we had in the full back department meant our hand was forced a bit to play him there initially, but sometimes in football players play in a different position and grasp that position quickly and look very comfortable.
"Byron has given us a lot of different attributes there in terms of his height and defensive responsibility, but I think we have also been pleasantly surprised with his attacking play, especially at home.
"He has shot forward a few times and crossed well, he has passed the ball well and he is forming a good link down the right hand side with Dominic Blizzard.
"He started the season very well, but I think when the team dipped, he dipped a bit. But he has come back strong, and if you look carefully every year he is making progress.
"For a defender he has still got a lot of his best years in front of him and he is still a young player. We have been pleased with him and he has given us a solidity, and the clean sheets prove that."
And the management team are still looking to bring in a new face before the emergency loan window closes.
Trolls said: "We have been frustrated on that front, but we are still looking to bring one in. I don't think it is going to be this week, but we are looking to add before the deadline, as we still need one in that area.
"If things go as planned over the next 10 days we will be looking at a run in we will need to be strong for."
Aaron Lescott joined Cheltenham on loan last week, a fact that shocked many supporters.
Trolls explains: "Aaron has done very well for us over a number of years, even at the start of this season he played to a good level.
"But we just felt that his situation at the moment, where he is not in the team and we have cover, it was best for all concerned that he went out and played.
"Cheltenham made contact with us, and we don't want to mess Aaron about letting him sit on the side lines.
"At his age he needs to play, he was happy to go and play, but obviously we had to be happy that we had enough cover in those positions to be able to cope with it, and we feel we have.
"It is a month's loan to start with, and it is one of them that may seem strange from the outside, but it was a situation that suited all parties.
"He is a player out of contract, and in our mind we are coming towards decisions.
"They want to be resolved as soon as possible, there are a few other experienced pros out as well and we know over a number of years what they have done.
"They are not playing for their futures as such, but performances around this time can shape things for the future.
"With Aaron we are still assessing all situations, see how he does there, if he comes back see how he performs for us at the end of the season, but there is no decisions at the moment."

Trolls said: "It is a reserve game, we wont be solely under 21s, but with City playing tonight against Palace we believe they are going to be relatively young, and we are going to be similar.
"The majority will be 21 and under, but there may be one or two older ones.
"At this time in the season it is important that certain players get a bit of action, but we have to way that up against the risk of injury and losing key squad members, who have been making an impact from the bench and with three games in a week will possibly start games.
"It will be a strong side of youngsters, some of the people who have been involved will play, but it wont be any of the experienced ones who have been on the bench."
