Lennie Lawrence has revealed that Bristol Rovers have secured a striker on loan.

The paperwork will be done tomorrow, meaning the player will be eligible to play in tomorrow night's game against Walsall.

Lennie told bristolrovers.co.uk: "We are going to complete the paperwork for a loan signing tomorrow.

"The window doesn't open until 5pm tonight, so we cannot register it until tomorrow morning, but that will be in time for the game tomorrow night.

"There is definitely one in, and there is a possibility of a second of a different type, but we wont know that until later in the day.

"With the absence of Linesy through injury we need another goal threat and this player can add to it.

"He is experienced, knows his position and knows his game, and we are pleased to have signed him. He is from a Championship club.

"We have got to bring people in who are different to what we have got, or better, and certainly the pedigree of this player suggests he will be of assistance to us.

"It is only a month to start with, both of them will be if the second one comes off, but we don't normally loan unless there is prospect of A) extending it to it's maximum and B) also permanent.

"I think in this case there is the possibility of a permanent move in the summer."

And Rovers have until 3.45pm tomorrow to register the second potential player if they want him to be involved tomorrow night.

Lennie said: "You have to register four hours before kick, so we have got until tomorrow afternoon.

"The second one wouldn't start, but could be on the bench."
