2010 ORCHARD SCHOOL LEAGUE - WEEK 1

The 3rd Orchard School Cluster Primary Football League season kicked off yesterday afternoon in chilly conditions, but that didn't seem to matter to the forty or so primary schoolchildren taking part.

There was some good football on display from all schools, and although the goalkeepers kept a number of clean sheets, this year's league has the potential to be the best yet.

The league takes place at Orchard School (formerly Monks Park) on the all-weather astro turf pitch and allows the schools to play 3 games a night.

Five schools are taking part in this year's league - Ashley Down (last year's winners), Filton Avenue, Fonthill, Horfield CofE and Lockleaze.
