We are now in the fourth week of our over 60s Extra Time project and we are very happy with the start that we have made. The group has grown in size and as all but one have returned each week the group have bonded really well, which is really great to see.
On Tuesday we had a darts and skittles competition. What is great to see is that everyone is trying all of the activities that are being put in front of them which meant that we had some great overall scores in the competition: Roger and Margaret came joint third with a total of 199, Reta was the runner up with 217 and Edwin scored a very impressive 241.

Extra Time is new project for us, lasting for 30 weeks. By working in partnership with South Gloucestershire Council and The Alzheimer's Society, Bristol Rovers' project is looking to engage people aged over 60 and people with dementia in weekly physical and social activities in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
We intend to offer a variety of mentally, physically and socially stimulating activities that will look to enhance people's agility, balance and coordination, as well as muscle strength and mobility.
